Prayer of Salvation
The Bible says, “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.” (Romans 10:9-10)
According to the Bible, salvation or eternal life in heaven comes through simply believing in what Jesus did for you. If you believe Christ died to pay the penalty for your sin and rose from the grave conquering death and sin for you then do what the above verses encourage you to do confess this belief to God in pray. Call on the name of Jesus today for salvation.
Here’s an example of a prayer you can pray today to receive God’s gift of forgiveness and eternal life:
“Lord, I know that I have broken your law and deserve death. I ask that you forgive me for breaking your law and accept your Son’s sacrifice for my sin. I believe Jesus died, was buried, and rose from the grave for me. I call on the name of Jesus for salvation. Amen!”
